How to improve solar obstruction light energy efficiency I have the following experience

As follows:

  1. Take lead acid battery as an example, we all know that lead acid battery voltage will fluctuate, This is related to our choice of BOOST or BUCK or BUCK-BOOST circuit, Also should consider the number of LED.

  2. The Incident angle of sunlight,maybe in YSSIGNAL ,Hunan,china is 45*.But in Beijing maybe 60*.According to different latitudes of the earth,Need to put a good angle of solar panels. In fact, a lot of the installation did not do this.

  3. Solar panels can not have a dark area, It will be fatal. Multi block solar panels in parallel, the need to add a low impedance of the Diode.

  4. Current directly from the battery through BACK BOOOST to LED, but need constant current.

  5. We usually use the first constant current charging, when the voltage is higher after the use of constant voltage charging. Of course, it has a relationship with temperature.

  6. Check your PCB, I think the PCB only needs a very small staic current, so you only need a small current DC-DC voltage converter, if you select a big current ,efficiency will be very low. not use resistance voltage converter. Usually constant current chip also selects the external MOSFIT,and the MOSFIT need a big drive votege,so many constant current chip also need a big votage, so we need a Triode,but if you only use one Triode, because avation solar obstruction light is flashing and many times our solar obstruction light is off, if drive Triode with high level then MOSFIT block, LED off. This can Increasing static current, I think use three Transistor push-pull circuit fast switching will more good.

    And use MCU PWM, Can Can remove constant current IC, reduce power loss, Improve efficiency.using a small resistance sampling to MCU ADC pin. Change PWM frequency achieve constant current. This is my experience
